In the midst of moving workshops, Florida-based designer Alan Folts faced the tedious chore of deciding which supplies to take with him. Strategically sifting through boxes full of titanium pieces, Alan made it his mission to center his next design around whatever scraps he had left. And so, the Fawkes was born. Named after the triumphant phoenix that appears in the popular Harry Potter series, the Fawkes rises from the ashes, resurrected from Alan’s scrapped material.

Featuring Ken Onion’s award-winning Assisted Opening, the Fawkes’ 2.74” high carbon stainless steel clip point blade snaps open at super high speed, brandishing a bead blast texture to withstand every utility challenge. Complete with the IKBS™ ball bearing pivot system, the blade deploys in the blink of an eye for a smooth rotation. And when you’re ready to stow it away, the knife’s liner lock offers easy, single-handed closure—so you can move straight onto the next duty.

And while the knife might act fast, a strong grip comes with the territory. Designed with a drop point centered with the knife’s grip, its G10 handle reinforces the blade, the point punching through surfaces with bullseye’s precision.

How Assisted Opening Works. It’s held securely closed in your pocket, but initiate the deployment, and part way through the rotation the blade opens at impressive speed for simple, powerful, one-handed opening.
