Sellier & Bellot is one of the oldest ammunition manufacturer’s in the world. Advanced manufacturing technology and quality control is prevalent throughout the Sellier & bellot company. This advancement bleeds into their portfolio of the ammunition they offer. This includes production of hunting and sporting ammunition for pistols & revolvers, rifles, shotguns, and rimfires.
Sellier & Bellot was founded in 1825 in the Czech Republic. The story starts with Nicolas Bellot and his associate Daguien. They started operations and built a workshop in Paris for the production of percussion primers. The primers from Bellots workshop gained popularity and success commercially. During the progress of growth, the partners decided to establish the manufacture of percussion caps in the Austrian Empire, Prague, the capital of the Bohemian Crown. Sellier & Bellot continued production of percussion primers until a great opportunity arose.
Going back to 1775, Charles Joseph, the Prince of Auersperg, and his wife, Maria Josepha, the Countess of Trautson, decided to create a manorial deer hunting park on the land which is currently the site of Sellier & Bellot. This land and park unfortunately was destroyed by a tornado in 1929. Prince Auersperg decided to sell the land which was purchased by Sellier & Bellot to build a new factory. On February 22, 1933 the State Land Fund approved the sale of the entire hunting park to Sellier & Bellot.
The conglomerate ammunition company continued to produce ammunition until the demand for ammo was increasing. They did not have the capacity to fulfill the demand, which started construction on a new extend plant. The new plant was finished in 1944 and the company was nationalized.
Fast forward through new innovations and upgrades to their manufacturing plant, in 1999, the Czech Republic joined NATO alliance which gave Sellier & Bellot more infrastructure to keep up with demand and continued with their usual supply of ammunition.
2009 was a big year for seller & bellot. The company became a member and was bought by the CBC group (Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos), also known as Magtech.

EXERGY Blue Series

The NONTOX Series
The NONTOX ammunition is a primer mixture, lead-free projectiles and even infrared tracer bullets. The Nontox pistol ammunition series reduces the “health” stress on shooters and range supervisors. S&B works with environmentally friendly detonator mixture. The FMJ projectiles reduces the lead evaporation after the shot through a copper cap. The NONTOX series comes in the follow calibers: 9mm, 10mm Auto, 357 Magnum, 38 Special, 40 S&W and 45 Auto.
The XRG Defense Series
These self-defense rounds are constructed with a solid copper hollow point bullet which results in near 100% weight retention, regardless of the barriers encountered. Tests have proven this line-up has produced low perceived recoil, high velocity and reliable expansion for impact. Many European law enforcements use this self-defense round from Sellier & Bellot.
